Eleonora Guarini PhD Thesis Prize

The Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Florence announces a PhD Thesis Prize in the amount of €1,500 dedicated to the memory of Prof. Eleonora Guarini.

Eligibility is restricted to:

  • Italian citizens, or
  • applicants holding a PhD degree awarded by an Italian institution.


Eligible PhD degrees must have been awarded between January 1st, 2017, and July 31st, 2026. The PhD thesis must concern a research area connected with the scientific activity of Eleonora Guarini, with particular reference to experimental and/or numerical studies of the microscopic, static, and dynamical properties of disordered systems, or the development and application of neutron techniques for condensed matter physics.
